There are many people in the metaphysical business we find ourselves in.
And we’ve seen it all: the good, the bad and the ugly. Unfortunately, many people flock to such subject matter seeking fame or fortune, rather than becoming more spiritual.
One can find more astrologers, psychic mediums, holistic healers, you name it out there, and it’s tough to tell who’s who. In our many travels seeking out cool new products or staying up on the latest trends or technique, there’s often a regular occurrence. And it has to do with Free Natal Chart Readings, or what is commonly referred to as your birth chart.
Your birth chart, simply is a mathematical representation of how the sky looked the “exact” moment you were born. You may also think of it as a map of stars that can provide insight into who you are, where you are going and to some people’s amazement, where you’ve been or major life changing events already happened. Your birth cart will constantly be referenced if you do anything astrological. In coming posts, we’ll explain more about astrological charts, what they mean, how to read them and how to use them as a tool in your life.
And your natal chart, or birth chart is unique to you…
Over the weekend, the Victory of Light Expo (psychic festival) occurred. There were a lot of people – lots! It reminded us of how many times we’ve seen people line up to get what use to be free natal chart readings, but soon turned to natal chart readings that start at $25 and up. People will line up and wait for their chart to be printed off, based on their exact birth date (date and time – represented by a 24 hour clock) as well as the place or location of your birth.
And many will walk away with a cool looking chart, specific to them, having paid a small sum.
But, unless you know how to read such free natal chart readings, it’s useless. Sure, it’s kinda cool looking; it’s neat to do some self analyzing (which is often biased mind you – as few can or want to look at themselves through objective eyes, or worse will only see themselves through critical eyes), but how someone actually reads and interprets said birth chart, quickly weeds out the truer astrologers from the wannabe’s.
See, with the right astrology software and related (widely available), anybody can plug some numbers into a keyboard and spit out a piece of paper, black and white, or with color inks to woo and wow you, but FEW can offer you any insight as to what to DO with what so many people just paid for.
Sharon Finch, our resident astrologer has literally been doing exactly this (as well as Astro-Dice) for about 30 years plus, while many other “astrologers” rely on referencing a book – - I mean it’s only your future, right?
As said, look forward to more posts about natal chart readings and what to do with the information found on your birth chart.
